You do not have a background in management or environmental studies and wonder if you meet the academic requirements to apply? Our programs are designed to be accessible to students with diverse backgrounds. We think that being exposed to the points of view and skills of fellow students from different disciplines contributes to the learning experience. Introductory courses are available for students who lack basic training in key disciplines

Our MA programs are organized as part-time studies over two days a week (Thursday for full day and Friday untill 13:30) to allow working students to combine work and study

Scholarship opportunities
The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management encourages qualified students to apply for grants, prizes and scholarships. The Department offers several scholarships. More information about them will be published on public appeals (Kol Kore) during the year.
In addition, the website of the Graduate Studies Authority of the University of Haifa offers more information about scholarship opportunities that are available for both graduate students and doctoral candidates.

Careers for environmental managers
Since its foundation in 1998, more than 500 students have graduated from the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management. Many of our alumni went on to cover senior managerial positions in the industry, governmental and non-governmental organizations and public institutions. Others pursued scientific careers in research and academic institutions

Addressing modern environmental issues necessitates drawing knowledge from multiple scientific disciplines. The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management was first in recognizing the need for interdisciplinary environmental management studies in the higher education system in Israel. Since 1998, we have been training graduate and post-graduate students to become sustainability professionals. Today, our alumni hold key positions in environmental research and management in Israel. Also in 2020, Eduniversal ranked two of our programs among the Best Masters worldwide. The MA in Natural Resources and Environmental Management was ranked third in Energy and Natural Resources in Eurasia & Middle East.
