Admission requirements for Doctoral program
The following requirements apply to applicants for a Doctoral degree (PhD) at the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management:
- An accredited university undergraduate degree.
- An accredited university Master’s degree with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 87 and a minimum of 87 in the thesis.
- Two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from the student’s Master thesis adviser.
- A declaration of intent in regards to the proposed subject of research (3-4 pages), approved by two advisers, one of which is a regular academic staff member of the Department. This adviser must be in the rank of senior lecturer or higher.
- A Curriculum Vitae in Hebrew and in English.
Candidates with a Master’s degree from a recognised institution of higher education but without a thesis will be required to complete pre-research studies before commencing their doctoral studies.

Admission requirements for pre-research studies
The pre-research studies in the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management are interdisciplinary in essence and are guided by two supervisors, at least one of whom must be a regular academic staff member of the Department.
The following requirements apply to applicants for pre-research studies at the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management:
- An accredited university undergraduate degree.
- An accredited university Master’s degree with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 87 and a minimum of 87 in the final research project (or final exam or other).
- Two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from the student’s Master research project supervisor.
- A declaration of intent in regards to the proposed subject of research (3-4 pages), which has to be approved by the chosen supervisors. One of the supervisors myst be a regular academic staff member of the Department, with a rank of senior lecturer or higher.
- A Curriculum Vitae in Hebrew or in English.
