
Prof. Ayalon holds a B.Sc. from the Faculty of Food Engineering, Technion, Haifa and Graduate studies from the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, Technion, Haifa, specializing on environmental and waste management and policy. Prof. Ayalon is a member of The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management since 2001. Throughout her career, she has always combined academic research, teaching, supervising research conducted by graduate students, and other activities within the university, with advocacy for the latest and most urgent environmental issues- both at the national level and in a variety of international frameworks. These parallel tracks have reinforced one another, allowing her to make unique contributions in both spheres. In 2018 Prof. Ayalon was awarded by Mifal Hapais of the ‘Michael Landau Prize’ for the Sciences and Research in the field of sustainability.
